Luis Guerra

Special Education Teacher

Welcome to Special Education! My name is Luis Guerra III the new Special Education Teacher. I have worked in the area of Special Education for 3 years and retain over 7 years of experience in the world of education. I am fully certified to teach special education from grades K-12. I am a native from the small city of San Elizario and have worked in several different districts including San Elizario ISD, Clint ISD and Tornillo ISD. I hold 3 degrees in various areas including an Associate of Arts from EPCC, a Bachelor of Multidisciplinary Studies from UTEP with concentrations on Children’s studies, Humanities, and Chicano Studies. Finally, Masters of Education- in Special Education with my area of study in
Learning Disabilities.

I am amazed of how resilient children are and of how much they have to teach us. I personally believe that all children deserve a chance to show us their many capabilities to become someone special. I am humbled to have the opportunity to work with these incredible children. It’s an honor and my pleasure to have such a great opportunity to teach in this amazing school here at La Fe Preparatory.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, working on art projects, and
outdoor activities.
